Canadian Blood Services (CBS) is reaching out to local community focused organizations in the hope that we will garner support for our main blood donor clinic, located in the University area at 8249 -114 St, during the Holiday Season and into the New Year.
I know that everyone is super busy in the days before and after Christmas but please know that the need for blood doesn’t stop. One to two hours of your time will really make a difference for someone who needs blood, so please encourage your community members to Give The Gift of life this Holiday Season. Appointments at our Sunday Clinics on Dec 24th and Dec 31st are really low so we are asking for help with these dates as well as other dates during the Holiday Season and into the New Year.
If this is something that might interest your community members then:
The Lifebus shuttle is not available after 4.00 - 4.30 pm M-F or on weekends/holidays.
CBS looks forward to building a long term supportive relationship with Community Leagues across Edmonton. With advance notice, our staff may be available to attend larger community hosted events such as summer barbecues, membership drives and craft fairs etc.
I look forward to working with members of your Community League.
Best wishes for the Holiday Season,

The Snow Angel Philosophy: “Doing my part for OUR community”
We've heard loud and clear from Edmontonians — it's time to reclaim the joy of winter and embrace the season. It's time to be proud of our Edmonton winters, and even to be a little boastful about them!
Dealing with snow is a big part of being an Edmontonian.
Keeping our sidewalks free of snow and ice is critical in keeping Edmontonians moving safely and enjoying winter.
This winter, WILLOWBY COMMUNITY LEAGUE is joining the Snow Angels program. As a community, we want to encourage everyone to keep their sidewalks free of snow and ice. We also want to encourage our community members to consider helping a neighbor. Many citizens need help due to mobility or health issues and might not always ask for help.
Snow Angels is a broad, community based education campaign about snow removal that supports citizens who shovel regularly and those who help a neighbor out. Community leagues who participate in the program will help promote and recognize people who shovel on a regular basis, as well as those who help neighbors in need.
If you are a senior needing help shoveling your walk this winter, please contact

This is WILLOWBY COMMUNITY LEAGE’s opportunity to make sure our community members keep our sidewalks safe for everyone and help out our neighbors who might need assistance.
Snow Angels will be eligible for a prize pack from Boston Pizza. To nominate a friend, neighbor or to get yourself a sign and to be entered in for the prize pack please contact Debbie at firstname.lastname@example.org or 780-975-2141
